Plan zones around room use
A zone is defined by the space served by an indoor unit and the control arrangement for that unit. Planning should consider which rooms are occupied separately and whether doors or the layout limit air movement between them. Those observations influence the number and location of indoor units. Treating every floor or room as one zone can leave the controls poorly matched to how the space is actually used.
